While this past weekend's "UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort" event will always be remembered for the front kick heard 'round the world, UFC president Dana White said the card might also be known as the launching point for the future of the company.
In conjunction with the New York-based NeuLion, Inc., the UFC offered an enhanced pay-per-view broadcast at UFC.tv, and White believes the format is the wave of the future.
“The very forceful actions taken by Mr. (Preet) Bharara, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York and Mr. (John T.) Morton, the Director of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, against these parasitic websites is very welcome news," White stated. "The criminal theft of pay-per-view events has resulted in the loss of millions of dollars of revenue to not only the UFC and its fighters, but has also deprived federal, state and local government of their rightful entitlement to significant tax revenue.

Microsoft had a sit down with the first people to jailbreak their windows phone 7. Seems like good progress was made. This seems like a good approach to me. It would be great if Sony, Apple, Microsoft, and several Android phone makers would implement a simple development switch in their phones — these would obviously void the warranty, but it would give hackers the opportunity to actually own their devices without fear of having to jailbreak all over again whenever an update arrives.

Sony is threatening to sue anybody posting or “distributing” the first full-fledged jailbreak code for the 4-year-old PlayStation 3 gaming console.
What’s more, the company is demanding that a federal judge order Google to surrender the IP addresses and other identifying information (.pdf) of those who have viewed or commented about the jailbreak video on a private YouTube page. The game maker is also demanding that Twitter provide the identities of a host of hackers who first unveiled a limited version of the hack in December.

Microsoft and Yahoo have finally acknowledged that Yahoo is, as has long been suspected, culpable for Windows Phone 7's excessive data usage. Microsoft admitted to a problem a couple of weeks ago, faulting an a third-party service but infuriatingly refusing to specify which third party.
This silence was unfortunate, as it left users with no good way to avoid the problem: given the potential to run up substantial bills, this was indefensibly irresponsible of Microsoft. Now that Yahoo! Mail has been confirmed as the problematic provider, users can mitigate the issue by setting any Yahoo accounts to check for mail only manually.
