One of the reasons that windows is popular is backward compatibility For users who simply browse the web and read email, this is not a problem For others who have expensive packages that only run on x86, it's a BIG problem A lot of older software is what is is. It will never be updated, either because the maker lost interest or they are out of business
You gotta start somewhere. The loss of multi-CPU type support after Windows NT is partially why the x86/Windows platform kinda stagnated for decades. So the old stuff wont run on ARM, ok fine use x86. Over time more and more software will be updated to support ARM which is exactly what we should be cheering. Heck, i wish MS would support ARM and RISC-V while they are off re-compiling their OS, drivers, and office suite of applications.
Sounds like it's maybe opt-in and gives you a kickback, so that's probably why. They're going to need people to sign up.
hahaha opt-in, youre hilarious.
Of all the AI based programs available, Copilot has been "meh", Gemini has been so-so, while ChatGPT has been awesome. For example, if you mention something in the realm of BDSM, Copilot will tell you to go pound sand and find professional help. Gemini will just nope, singing, "F-this shit I'm out." ChatGPT will remind you to consider consent, aftercare, settings, scenes... and the other common sense items.
Overall, ChatGPT has been better for odd stuff, while Copilot and Gemini have been so-so at best. And, yes, I have subscriptions to all three.
Uh, Copilot is based on Chat-GPT.
Does this mean foldables are going to be become the coolest thing ever because no one has ever done it before and it's so fresh and original?
What it really means is the flagship iPhones will start costing upwards of $2k a pop, rather than $1k a pop. For shit we're expected to throw away every two years. Seems a brilliant move for profits, if Apple can pull it off. Shit for the environment, shit for finances, shit for society, but hey, profits!
No one is expected to get a new iPhone every 2 years due to their 5+ year support. Heck, majority of folks I have seen use their iPhones for years and years until they break, or the phones are stolen/lost. You're confusing yourself as a technology enthusiast versus mass market.
Dynamically binding, you realize the magic. Statically binding, you see only the hierarchy.
