Apparently you're visually confused by the Ukrainian alphabet, but rest assured, despite their similarities with their Greek precursors, the Ukrainian letter for H is no more pronounced "G" than the Ukrainian letter for V is pronounced "B". For example, the Ukrainian president's first name is NOT "Bolodymyr".
