Completely off topic, but... Which reality show nowadays does not have writers? Seriously, the "confessional" sessions they do with these reality show "contestants" (which are paid something to be on the show whether they win or not) are purely scripted. They ask leading questions to get the answers they want out of them, and then don't air the questions being asked. For example:

Producer/Writer: "What would you say to Contestant X if she took your hairspray, phrase it like you were talking to her."
Contestant Y: "You better watch out [bleep], cause I'm coming for you!"

How is that not completely scripted? It happens on every so-called reality show.

I have the Netflix app on my iPhone and watched an episode of Family Guy while on the bus into work this morning. The picture was perfect and the video never skipped. OTA is working pretty well for me. Wifi loads faster, but the quality is so good OTA that I can say that is the only difference. i also watched the Apple thing yesterday streaming, and that was great video. I was on Wifi for that.

I've lived in Houston as well and many other cities, and yes, Houston is a very different type of city. But to claim that politicians purposely want to keep you from traveling around town? Come on. Metro has done a lot to try to get people to get out of their cars, and people around here just don't want to. They like their cars. So no, there is not going to be a direct bus from Greenspoint to Baytown, because there is not enough demand for it.

Houston is a HUGE metro area (600 sq miles compared to New York city at 305, Chicago 225, LA 460, Dallas 180), and you can find a bus from anywhere in the city to the Galleria, Medical Center, and Downtown. If you need to go from one city suburb to the next, then use one of those hubs, or drive. There's even a trip planner on the website, that will tell you when to arrive and when you will get there.

It's not rocket science, and nobody is out to get you. I've been successfully using the bus system for 4 years now. Yes, it takes about 50-100% longer to take the bus than to drive, I just make sure to leave early.

OK, I haven't paid for satellite or cable in a while. It is still MUCH cheaper for something that does a HELL of a lot more than shows commercials all day. As a quick example: XP was around for 7 years. $300 / 7 / 12 = $3.5/month
