...for those (such as Slashdot) who continue to push the AGW/CO2 "science", even when it is not backed up by actual (unaltered) data. So I guess it's a lose-lose prospect. If temperatures rise, that's bad news (although living conditions for humans would improve, as demonstrated throughout history). If temperatures decline, it's also bad news, except for the oil companies who will (hopefully) continue to provide an essential cheap energy source for humans to survive on.

I'm surprised the parent was moderated down. This incident bears a striking similarity to the plot of Brazil. I guess this means that Great Britain (and the rest of the western world) have become "bureaucratic, totalitarian government is reminiscent of the government depicted in George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four".
