My feeling is that women have been told so many times that they are oppressed that they see oppression everywhere
That doesn't mean it is there
I am sorry but what should be in the law is that it should be absolutely illegal to subscribe any client to any newsletter. Simple
It would also be nice to have significant fines for companies which subscribe anybody automatically.
I am sick and tired of receiving emails for stuff like: "last change to take advantage of our discount!"
The European GDPR already forbids these things but without significant fines... companies do not care. Period
Title 1, Article 18, Section 3:
"Se garantiza el secreto de las comunicaciones y, en especial, de las postales, telegrÃficas y telefÃnicas, salvo resoluciÃn judicial."
Roughly translated to:
"the communication secrecy must be guaranteed, specially on letters, telegrams and phone calls unless there is judical resolution"

Regardless, Spain is not the only country considering measures like that. Just read the linked document: https://www.senado.es/web/cono...
There's 20 countries there!!!
Actual ownership is the same.
Not true.

There is no difference in ownership of games on Steam and GoG
Stop spreading miss information.
You **DO NOT** own anything you "buy" through steam.
Steam is a STREAMING platform legally speaking.
If you don't believe me, just pay attention to their usage of words: you don't buy anymore but rather purchase.
Furthermore, go ahead and read the fineprint whenever you "buy" a game.

I will quote it for you:
The Content and Services are licensed, not sold
In Spain 10 years ago I was doing my tax declaration as follows:
- go to a website
- download a "draft" tax declaration
- looks ok: Submit
And that is like that for the immense majority of people.
Of course, whenever you had multiple sources of income, properties, stocks... things become more complex as you [likely] had to modify the draft they sent you.
Still, absolutely everything is for free.
Naturally, you can also pay somebody else to do all this for you
I apologize! Wrong link! Copy&paste... yikes
Why is that not a popular opinion?
I am almost 100% sure **everybody** here doesn't want the pop-up either.
If only there was a protocol which could be used to tell websites one doesn't want to be tracked and, thus, there is no need for any pop-up...
If only...
Doesn't seem hard to encourage baby-making, with the right financial incentives
I am sorry but no advanced economy has managed to successfully encourage baby-making by giving financial incentives. Or by giving money directly. Or by giving holidays/parental leave (payed parental leave).
Check here for the country I currently live in.
Germany has been under 2 children per woman since the early 1970s and believe me, the country tries to increase the fertility rate.
They have failed miserably so far unfortunately
Not only in Italy.... check Italy's "cousin", Spain:
https://www.theguardian.com/wo...
And there are many of these cases ( I have seen this with my own eyes and I even reported one but it lead nowhere and, truth be told, I didn't push it).
PS: don't think this is intrinsic to "latin" countries. I live in Germany and I see "tricks" like this also happening there as well.
Sports (as well as everything else) should be gender neutral and valued only on merit. PERIOD.
How would society react if we proposed having women only work? "Garbage collection for women" or "Architecture for women".... why are we accepting then women only sports??
PS: if there is any rule not allowing women to practice sports with men it should be removed, of course.
This is only a test at *national* level.
Tests happen regularly, just not for the whole country at once.
