70's inflation was a supply side issue which Burns managed well enough. Look at real GDP ... the recessions under Burns line up with the energy crisis caused by war. Volcker's depression lines up with nothing but Volcker.

There is no such thing as creative destruction. If you let a depression disperse workers and knowhow and reduce productive assets to rust it's gone, you have to build it up from scratch. There are worse things than inflation, like economists.

Trump and Putin killed the WEF and the American government is not going to go back to pre-Trump/Ukraine policies. EU will continue its standard schizophrenia on globalism because the ideology mirrors it's internal rules, but the EU is increasingly irrelevant.

I think PV with hydrogen seasonal storage is more realistic than over-provisioning by 40x.

Dunkelflautes can get pretty big, to the point where EU would have to depend on generation in non EU countries OR need say 10x name plate capacity for wind and 40x for PV and batteries. Getting through winter on renewables alone without seasonal storage is very tough.

Apple and Tesla are only allowed to keep their source code closed, all uploaded data has to go through a Pooh controlled company in clear text.

Project Texas is almost what Pooh forced on Apple and Tesla (except that ByteDance and thus Pooh would still have control over the subsidiary, for hiring for instance, Apple and Tesla have no real control over their Chinese datacenters). Apple and Tesla are special in that regard, China simply banned all other companies with similar levels of access to Chinese citizen data.
