Submission + - Turbotax.com locks out Linux users (pastebin.com)

whtmarker writes: Despite supporting kindle fire and chromebook http://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/system-requirements_thickbox.jsp, linux users are finding themselves locked out of the turbotax website. Even two weeks ago, there when was an option to continue into the website, despite using linux thus not meeting the minimum requirements for the site. Dozens of linux users are frustrated http://pastebin.com/JhTAnnxA but this illustrates a general problem of cloud services. You can be locked out of your data and denied service on a whim.

However look at the tuition for any school now - even working full time there's no way it would be possible to escape any modern college without significant debt.

Actually it is possible, and people do it all the time. Some earn scholarships, use AP credit from HS, have help from parents, or just work hard. I worked 25-30 hrs/week with a 3/4 course load and full time in summer with a 1/4 course load, tuition was $2000/semester so I paid $5k/yr, rent was $2500/yr. I worked full time during christmas break and other school breaks, bought textbooks online, rode a bicycle (w/ snow goggles in winter), no grants, minimal scholarship money, no debt. With no car and no cell phone, and by not living on campus, you can save a lot of money. If you find yourself short on cash, take less classes that semester, and take more hours at work.

Mormons believe the bible and in it that Jesus Christ, is the son of God, died on the cross, and was resurrected. Doesn't that make them christians? What makes them different from other christians is the fundamental belief that Jesus Christ also visited one of the lost tribes of Israel after he was resurrected "other sheep I have not of this fold..." as recorded in the Book of Mormon.
The site that goes over their beliefs is actually http://mormon.org/
For instance http://mormon.org/faq/baptism-for-the-dead is actually from the bible

France Planning Non-Windows Tablet Tax? 227

An anonymous reader writes "Lots of countries around the world have private copying 'levies,' which are effectively taxes on products that store data, which is put into a pool to be handed out to copyright holders, as a sort of payment for the 'copying' that individuals do. This was quite popular with blank CDRs, for example, but has been expanded in certain countries to cover hard drives, iPods and other such devices. Over in France, they're looking to expand the levy to tablet computers, but apparently if that tablet computer is running Microsoft Windows, it will be exempted from the tax. iPads and Android-powered tablets will have the tax. Why? Well, the argument is that if a tablet is running Windows, it's really a 'computer.' But if it's running one of those 'mobile' operating systems, suddenly it's a brand new category. Not surprisingly, makers of Android tablets — including the French company Archos — are not at all happy about this."
