Well the joy of the haiku has sorta died down. But
Galant, the friend that sort of started the posting of haikus, put up an interesting set of questions today. As
requested (ish), posting answers there and here.
1) Meaning(less?)
If you had to devote your life to one quirky and pointless goal, what would it be?
Having some trouble coming up with a truly pointless goal that I would be willing to devote significant time to. But one goal I'd be willing to commit to if I had the time, would be to learn a wide range of languages. While many would find that anything but pointless, I have little to no interest in travelling and seeing the world. So such language skills would see rare if any use in my life.
2) Of Barbies, He-Man and Mr. Meccano
What is/was your favourite toy?
Does a toyset count? I'd probably pick Legos. Of all the toys high- and low-tech, these probably occupied and entertained more of my time whether I was alone or with friends. Even provided some distraction when I was (supposed) to be packing to move, unfortunately much has been lost over the years.
3) The Sweet Smell of...?
Imagine the technology existed which allowed you to not only receive sight and sound via your computer but also smell. What would be the scent of your website - transmitted to all who would visit?
The smell of a forest. The light smell of pine, earth, and fresh (clean), but thinner air. Basically: the pleasant smells you encounter as you hike through a (primarily pine) forest.
