No matter what operating system you use the experience will be as natural as possible. qView, a Qt5-based software, is completely free and open source. It is available on GitHub under the GPLv3 licence. Localization support with many community-supplied translations. Zooming beyond the scaling threshold will bring the image back to its original resolution. Images won't get blurry if zoomed in close.
