The open protocol that creates a censorship resistant global "social" network is built on cryptographic keys, signatures, and is therefore tamperproof. It doesn't rely on P2P or central servers and is therefore resilient. Everybody has a client. This client can be either a native or web-based version. It allows users to publish posts signed with their key and sent out to multiple relays. Multiple relays can request updates from other users by asking if they have information about them. A relay can be run by any individual. It accepts and forwards messages without requiring trust. The client is responsible for verifying signatures.
