myTaxExpress Description
This software allows users to electronically file the Auth a Representative (previously T1013) and RC59 forms with the CRA system, requiring a valid EFiler ID and password for access. Each form processed through e-filing or printing incurs a cost in points, and as this is a relatively new program, users can anticipate several enhancements in future software updates. Additionally, couples filing a joint tax return can share certain tax forms and slips, allocating a percentage of the claim to either partner. If one partner alters the amount on a shared tax form or slip, the coupled return will reflect that change automatically. Whether you are an employee or operate a self-owned business—including sectors like commissions, rentals, professional services, farming, or CAIS farming and fishing—myTaxExpress is equipped to handle your tax filing needs efficiently. As tax laws and regulations evolve, the software aims to stay updated, ensuring compliance and ease of use for all users.

Terrible customer service Date: May 10 2024
Summary: I've been using the software for a year is and normally the customer service is helpful but this time they were quite rude. Not sure where they are located but their response isn't in complete sentences and are very short.
Positive: Cheap. Can net file directly. I need to put in one hundred characters but not sure what else to say.
Negative: Very laborious to complete. UI is from the dark ages. Customer service was quite rude when I submitted a ticket for an error. Their response was, "No means you filed previously, right?" And after I answered yes there was no response until I wrote them again a week later and then they were quite rude and said "Why don't just ignore the error?" Really?!? That's customer service?

Inaccurate Autofill- 2023 Date: Apr 23 2025
Summary: A year later I'm getting re-assessed owing more money and a $155 late filing penalty. This software is inaccurate if you have investments to claim.
Positive: I had been using this software for many years. The 2023 application was a fail as it didn't correctly calculate investments that had been submitted to CRA prior to filing.
Negative: I used the myTaxExpress "auto fill" (all the documents were processed by CRA prior to my filing) for 2023.
