    i-Ready Learning Experience.

    Date: Jan 30 2023

Summary: 100%. It cant get any better. I used to love it as a kid, my little brothers do and it just helped me learn and at the same time have fun.

Positive: Good explaining and having fun at the same time. Also can not stress your kids about work, good source for homework without being boring.

Negative: No cons. It differs from IXL because its just really bland and i-Ready is actually fun.

    i-Ready is utterly ridiculous

    Edited: May 05 2023

Summary: It is horrible and I hope it gets discontinued. It is always used, other people have hated it as much as I do.

Positive: I don't like ANYTHING about this dumb app.

Negative: ALL reviews are about teachers children do not get any say in it. It is stressful and unhelpful at the least. I would give this program -12 stars if I could.

    i-Ready Doesn't Help

    Date: Apr 24 2023

Summary: Overall, I don't like i-Ready. It gives me the worst feelings. It makes me feel sad, upset, dumb, and an idiot.

Positive: Nothing. There is nothing I like about i-Ready. In fact, there are only things I indeed do not like about it. In my opinion, it's bad.

Negative: The fact that i-Ready 6th Grade level doesn't even explain certain things that you don't know. For example, in the lesson, "Dot Plots and Histograms", it doesn't explain anything to you and just makes you answer questions you don't feel comfortable answering. I hate it and it makes me feel upset. It also makes me feel like I'm not smart.

    The worst in education

    Edited: Jan 15 2022

Summary: It really makes me sad that schools use this. I think it’s detrimental to the child as well as the educational system. Someone is getting rich off this crap and the children are the ones paying the price. I don’t know how any true educator could back this. It’s just a quick money grab during the Covid years.

Positive: Very very little. In fact I really can’t name one thing that is good. There are things that are less bad.

Negative: (Teacher for 20 years) The way the scores are calculated, the testing out vs Max score for one, are done in a way to make the program look like it’s making a diff when it really isn’t. You can not accurately assess phonics or PA or comprehension in lower grades on a computer. You need to hear the errors the child is making, listen for fluency. It’s insane to assess a 5 or 6 year old on a computer to know where they stand. Too many obstacles to get anything close to accurate (just clicking away, motor skills, not understanding what/where to click etc) AND the dyslexia screener is a joke. Only put on there to meet state requirements and say they screen for it. It doesn’t. It flags ELL and IEP students for dyslexia and not students with an actual diagnosis. The only way to get accurate, usable data is to completely ignore the diagnostic and give the offline tasks- which kinda takes away their biggest selling point.

    Hot garbage

    Date: Nov 12 2021

Summary: This program is the worst intervention for public school students. Teachers teach less and this program replaces real education time. This program should be permanently eliminated.

Positive: There are none. This is biggest hot trash I’ve ever seen. It should be banned. Worst program in Dade county schools.

Negative: Let me count the ways…the program is stupid and it’s being forced on public school students around the USA. It’s a subpar program which is being used to replace real teaching in most districts.
