Summary: I was introduced to FestiVOL in 2019 as a worker and utilized the software to register to work an event, receive information on event arrival, departure, expectations, and shift information, and to track the payroll process upon completion of the event. When I initially registered to work, I remember being extremely happy that FestiVOL prompted me to select my "Can't Miss" artist for the event to ensure I wouldn't be scheduled during that time.
In early 2020, I transitioned to the admin side of FestiVOL and utilized the software to assist in managing around 120 workers at Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival. I found the system and prompts to be set up in a very intuitive. FestiVOL was essential in our ability to organize the event labor and manage our workers on site.

Positive: After my 1st event using FestiVOL, I found the software to be intuitive and straightforward. For my first time managing volunteers at Okeechobee Festival 2020, FestiVOL helped simplify the entire event labor management process from start to finish. One of the features I found to be the most useful were the database with a history of workers previous event shifts. Here, I was able to see if the person had worked past events and successfully completed their shifts, registered for an event and didn't show up to one or more of their shifts, or even begun the application process but didn't finalize or receive shifts. This was extremely useful when trying to schedule workers in more critical or high-demand jobs. The software also extremely helpful with payroll by allowing us to easily enter worker's personal information into our records upon their arrival and check-in process. Finally, several event department heads appreciated how easy it was to track and input individual worker performance into FestiVOL upon the completion of each shift.

Negative: There were not any Cons to using the software that I can recall.

Summary: Super helpful to have everything in a central system that coordinates across departments and streamlines staffing.

Positive: Biggest pro is that if there's any time you're unsure of what to do on a certain page or how to work a certain function, there FAQs and self-guided information pages that explain everything clearly.

Negative: Sometimes customizing an event after starting with a template can get a little wonky, but it usually sorts itself out.

Summary: My overall experience has been very positive. I would definitely recommend FestiVOL to other industry professionals who are looking to streamline their staffing process!

Positive: The Program is a great resource for event staffing solutions. It is easy to operate and makes organizing large scale event much more manageable.

Negative: The system is way too helpful and user friendly.

Summary: Overall, festiVOL streamlines communication with applicants and lessens the workload for coordinators. I used to email 100+ volunteers individually, had to chase down deposits and communicate scheduling at a snail's pace. Now, I can log in and talk to all of my volunteers at once, present a work schedule to everyone simultaneously (and allow volunteers to "work with friends," which makes everyone happier) and see deposit status updates at a click of a button. I've seen increased accountability and less confusion among my volunteers since using festiVOL. The owner Amy is an absolute pleasure to work with and is constantly checking on my comfort using festiVOL and asking for ways to improve the software, which you don't see every day. I highly recommend using festiVOL for your event!

Positive: festiVOL has saved me hundreds of hours of work. Having a one-stop-shop to communicate with 100+ volunteers has been a total life saver. The volunteer application is easy enough to customize and comes with great language regarding event liability. The application is easy to tweak from year to year, saving hours of busy work. The ability for volunteers to self-schedule saves tons of time too. The overall professional nature of festiVOL makes volunteers more accountable than my previous arrangements, plus the deposit structure allows me to safeguard against volunteers who default on their contract. Most of all, customer service is timely, thorough, and genuinely interested in helping me produce effective events while requesting constructive feedback to help festiVOL improve each year.

Negative: There are few things that can be limiting when using festiVOL. My event sells tickets in tiered pricing, so the ticket price increases as the event gets closer; however, I am only able to set one price for the volunteer deposit upon creation of the event on festiVOL. It would be ideal for the volunteer deposit to equal the current cost of the event ticket at the volunteer's time of purchase. It would also be helpful if volunteers could submit their deposit in installments, since most of my volunteers are joining the program because they are financially unable to buy a regular ticket.

Summary: My first year using festiVOL was a huge success and I continue to use it to manage hundreds of volunteers for Telluride Bluegrass Festival, RockyGrass, and Folks Festival. I love this software and would be lost without it!

Positive: I was new to my Volunteer Coordinator position when I started using festiVOL and it made my transition into my role very smooth! I can't imagine doing my job without this software that I use to manage hundreds of volunteers for three different festivals. FestiVOL helps manage every part of the volunteer administrative process from the application to scheduling to post-event reviews. The platform is easy to set up for your event. There are so many built-in features that make it easy for you to customize your volunteer application and scheduling process. I highly recommend using festiVOL to run a successful volunteer program!

Negative: I don't have any cons. Usually the issues that arise come from user error and not the software.

Summary: I am so pleased with the way Festivol works.
The staff is very helpful. Tried other volunteer software but Festivol is the one for me!

Positive: I really love Festivol!
Volunteers received the latest news, work schedule and make changes the shifts.
The tools within Festivol are easy to use.
The event is managed with reliable volunteers.
I also like the fact that volunteers can sign the Waivers on Festivol. Volunteers can be text if they are last or need in another area.

Negative: Cons was the fact that I was not able to contact the incomplete application within Festivol.

Summary: With producing live events, there's a never-ending checklist. Cross one thing off, and four more pop up in its place. Any time we can outsource to supplement our workforce is a huge help. By combining an inventive and easy to use platform with a leader (Amy) who truly understands the needs of promoters, you've got a winning combination. I highly suggest FestiVOL for anyone planning events for 1000+ fans. Vetted volunteers, who become brand ambassadors, are key for the success of live events.

Positive: Solved a problem. Finding strong volunteer help for live events is essential, but it takes a lot of time to critically examine applications...especially when many of the best volunteers have zero experience with live events. FestiVOL not only has a pool of talent with past success, but also provides an easy option to ensure this essential piece for live events is seamless. From the pricing to the platform's design, this product fits a needed void...and does it extremely well.

Negative: No huge cons. Overall, a great product. For future updates, I'd love to see more integration for social media and email marketing.

Summary: If you are scheduling volunteers/workers for any event and want one less task to worry about, this is the software you need. It just works!

Positive: Easy to set up and coordinate. Handles any sized event. Can be customized for smaller events , but shines with larger events. Manages a lot of tasks in one place.

Negative: Not much to complain about, maybe more mobile compatibility.

Summary: The best volunteer management software that I have used! Easy set up for new events and allows volunteers to schedule themselves if the event decides to go that route. The transaction management and post event reconciliation is a breeze. The on site management and check in component is alway very user friendly.

Negative: I haven't found any cons. Especially in relation to the other software available.
