Yakuake Description

Yakuake, a drop-down terminal emulator built on KDE Konsole technology, is called Yakuake. The screen smoothly rolls down from the top. Tabbed interface with configurable dimensions and animation speed. Skinnable, sophisticated DBus interface. Once Yakuake is started, click on Configure Yakuake. This will open the menu button at the bottom right of the interface. Click on the Open Menu button to change the hotkey to drop/retract your terminal. By default it's set to F12. Most configuration options can be modified from Yakuake GUI. However, some options are only available by editing the configuration file. Yakuake can control itself at runtime via D-Bus messages. It can be used to launch Yakuake within a user-defined session. You can create tabs and assign names to them. You can also ask for specific commands to be run in any tab, or to show/hide Yakuake windows.
