Dropbox and iCloud allow you to create documents in Byword on your Mac, and then access them on your iPad or iPhone. You can also do the reverse. They can be edited from any location, on any device. Markdown support is available in Byword. You can preview your documents in the app, export to HTML or PDF, or publish directly on Medium, WordPress Blogger, Tumblr, Evernote, and Tumblr. Technical limitations and limited development resources are the reasons rich text support is not available. We are currently evaluating the benefits and costs of rich text support for iOS. We strongly recommend that you use plain text and markdown formats for your documents. Macworld has a great article that explains why plain text is a good choice today. -
