Best voice changer I've used so far

    Date: Oct 21 2023

Summary: I tried the various RVC voice changer software available and found the results to be not that great. In addition to that, their user interface is often lacking. Then someone mentioned Voice.ai to me and I gave it a try. The results were much better than I was able to achieve with RVC voices. The live mode works amazingly well. I was on TeamSpeak and people in my TeamSpeak channel thought that other people were in the room with me talking into my microphone. On discord people thought I was someone else. I made a humorous parody video and it sounded like the actual celebrities in the video.

Overall, I'm happy I found this software. Its been fun and very easy to use.

Positive: The voices sound extremely realistic.
There are over 35,000 voices available.
You earn free credits to get up to 2 voices for free every day.
The free version has unlimited use in live mode.
The user interface is easy to use and intuitive.
The discord support team is very helpful.
They update the software every couple months.
You can use RVC and RVC2 voices in addition to the software's own voices.

Negative: Hardware requirements, it requires a newer gaming computer/workstation to get good results.
I had to add a 3rd party bad microphone filter because the voices sounded too good on discord and in game.
The free version limits you to 15 second voice recordings.
It doesn't always sound the best with cheap headset microphones.
Not all of the user created voices sound good.

Malware. Started with Windows when I told it not to.

    Date: Jul 14 2023

Summary: Garbage malware that starts without consent and managed to waste my time even when I wasn't using it. Added several minutes to my startup time. I get that this is an alpha release, but there is no excuse for releasing this to the public. The software is barely functional, delivers a horrible quality result when it DOES work, and can't truly be called an accurate free trial of the real product in such a state. Even if the software worked like it's supposed to, the bitrate of the free version makes it unusably bad. As if a 15 second limit and a watermark in the audio wasn't enough. It's like they spent half a million dollars on marketing and had nothing left to make a functioning program. I would absolutely not recommend buying this software, let alone downloading it to begin with.

TLDR: stop the startup when I ask, and offer a trial that actually represents your product. It sounded like shaking gravel in a tin can.

Positive: Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Not a single thing.

Negative: There's a little box you check or uncheck when installing. It says "start with Windows?" I specifically told it NO. It started with Windows anyway. Did so on my friend's computer too. He also told it no. This software doesn't understand consent apparently. One mistake I get, but it happening twice gives me the impression that it was on purpose and this app may be mining data or crypto. ESPECIALLY SINCE IT ADDED 3+ MINUTES TO MY STARTUP TIME.

I also didn't get credit for signing up my friend. The (free version) ai voiceover it gives you is 48 kbps, which is barely above a midi file (31.25 kbps) on the free version. In other words, you can fart through a tin can on a string and it will have a more clear sound quality.

It also advertises itself as free. Technically, this is true. You get one voiceover to use. It sounds like you're throwing gravel at your speakers while you listen. You can train your own model, IF you can mimic the voice you want to use perfectly. You can't just use a recording of the voice because you need to say specific words in order to train the model. In other words, EVERY OTHER AI VOICE CHANGER ON THE MARKET IS MORE USEFUL. If I could mimic the voice I wanted to use, I COULD JUST DO IT MYSELF WITHOUT THIS SOFTWARE.

It DOES have a bank of different voices you can use, but I can't tell if it's the dial-up quality bitrate or the fact that the model I used was bad quality. I got it to work ONCE out of the 4 times I tried. Twice if you count it working poorly with no discernible voiceover. The other two times it said "failed to stop recording" and just didn't do anything.
