VISAGE Finite-Element Geomechanics Description

The Petrel E&P software suite features a user-friendly graphical interface known as Petrel Reservoir Geomechanics, which facilitates transparent data exchanges and supports the configuration and visualization of results from the VISAGE simulator. This integration allows users to leverage the robust capabilities of the VISAGE simulator alongside various interpretation, modeling, and engineering processes within the Petrel framework. By utilizing the workflows enabled by the Petrel platform, users can incorporate diverse data types to generate new 3D geomechanics property and stress models, or enhance existing subsurface reservoir models with geomechanics data. Such cohesive integration within the Petrel system guarantees that the geomechanics model remains aligned and harmonized with geophysics, geology, petrophysics, and reservoir information. Furthermore, this holistic approach promotes improved decision-making and more accurate predictions in reservoir management.
