VABS Description
VABS is a cross-sectional analysis tool that can be used for general purposes. It can quickly and easily compute beam properties and recover 3D fields from composite beams. It is the only tool that can decouple a 3D slender, with complex microstructure, into an engineering beam model. AnalySwift is a product of the aerospace industry. It has been used to create composite beams (helicopter blades, propellers and high aspect ratio wings), plates/shells and 3D structures. VABS has been used for many years in the wind turbine industry. It produces rapid and accurate results when modeling blades. SwiftComp also offers plates/shells and 3D structures made from composites. The automotive industry is increasingly using composites. This opens up more opportunities to use SwiftComp and VABS for modeling a wide range of structures including beams, plates, shells, and so on.
