Upper Hand Software is Game Changer Date: Aug 15 2023
Summary: The overall has experience has been excellent. If you have individual clients or teams you can see and itemize clients overall balance of what they owe. You also can see and track your instructors activities. The hard part is that a client can make multiple accounts which bud extremely confusing at times when looking up credits and account balances. Wish there was a consolidation option that would fix this issue where the client has credit under one name and under one credit card.
Positive: Love the fact that confirmed emails get sent to the client and instructors regarding lessons being scheduled. Upper-hand tracks all transactions and keeps budget when booking.
Negative: When you get to change or customize your schedule if there is a booking error it does not save any changes you have made and makes you start from the very beginning. The system does not let you book packages of lessons all at once. You need to to do it one at at a time.

Summary: Excellent! I refer as many people as I can because it has made my life so much easier and I can concentrate on what really matters, my athletes!
Positive: So many aspects of daily business all in one place. Scheduling, memberships, emails, marketing, keeps track of absolutely everything for me so I can concentrate on what really matters, training. Saves me so much time and Money on my phone or the computer!
Negative: Not much I don't like! There can be a big learning curve to connect everything you want but if you take the time to learn it really pays off in the long run.

Summary: Great. Any problems I have had, the team works on very quickly. I could not run my program efficiently without Upper Hand.
Positive: I have a youth sports facility with multiple different areas and programs. Upper Hand allows me to have multiple membership options, coaches payroll options, blocks out resource so we don't double book, keep track of payments and class schedules. It really does it all.
Negative: The only thing I wish it had would be a calendar for customers to look at in a month view. Right now it allows only the staff to see it and it's a weekly view.

Summary: I've really enjoyed how Upper Hand has simplified registration and payment for me. It's nice to have it all in one place and tracked. Scheduling events and memberships has been very helpful as well. However, I would love to be able to email those in a class from the app but you can only send marketing emails. Also, when you export a roster it exports as a text file. If it were a spread sheet I could work around it, but I still have to create that on my own at this point. Lastly, I tried the athlete tracking portion of the software and it just made tracking harder. Both because they do not have a bank of exercises and in making people create their own there are a lot of the same things measured differently. I think it could be great, but it still needs work.
Positive: Scheduling interface made registration way better.
Payment processing made my life easier.
Customer service helped when needed.Negative: Athlete tracking needs some work.

Summary: Learning some of the advanced setups as we go. Examples are camps. Next effort will be for our memberships in Fall/Winter.
Positive: Creating appointments is pretty easy.
Managing camps has been pretty good.
Looking at activity in the calendar by Staff is good but would like to see a report instead of activity by Staff for a time period.Negative: Cancelling appointments isn’t easy.

Summary: Overall it is a well thought out and designed scheduler. Happy with suggestions being taken into consideration. Bringing the scheduling ahead feature that we suggested into the mix was a game changer for us.
Positive: Ease of usage, cards on file, scheduling ahead, and ability to have POS and scheduling in one place.
Negative: Customer support chat is unreliable. Many times I give up waiting on someone to respond.

Summary: Over all it works well. Some of the things I mentioned above I would like to see change to make it easier overall for those of us who use it everyday.
Positive: Upper Hand is a good product. Easy to learn and train on. Support is always responds within 24hrs when I submit a ticket, with a lot of times responding the same day.
Negative: Something could be easier to transfer with in the system. Right now if I need to change someone on a membership or lesson, I have to cancel and refund, or on a membership have to wait until the re-up to switch it. We should be able to effortlessly switch it within the account. Also, if someone leaves a membership card behind we can’t see who it belongs to and we can’t check how many swings are on a card with this system.

Summary: I would say A+ on customer service. Without them, I would most likely be a little on the frustrated side.
Positive: I love the fact that every question or issue that I have presented to them, has always been resolved. And, I have had some doozies!
Negative: There is nothing I don't like about the customer service. However, I feel that some people have a hard time with all of the steps required for different transactions/entries to complete a specific task. I do feel this system lacks simplicity; especially for those not computer savvy.
