Automate repetitive tasks within a company.

    Date: Mar 15 2023

Summary: I have been able to spend my time on other tasks or work that requires more effort and I have dedicated repetitive tasks to UiPath to be able to concentrate on work that requires more effort but requires my dedication and cannot be automated. With this platform, within my work environment, I am able to satisfy both the needs of my company and that of my clients by being able to have automatic responses and the fact that the platforms that I use are connected to each other through UiPath to streamline my workflow, in addition I have also reduced costs of certain things that required certain people who could manage the platforms to pass information from one platform to another, but that is in the past.

This RPA tool has handled very well my needs to be able to automate all the platforms that I use, not only through integrations and APIs, but also through graphical interfaces, I have been able to improve my work by avoiding tasks that were constantly repeated but that there was no way to implement code in the process, with UiPath I don't have that problem anymore. In addition to the fact that this platform can be scalable at any time, and I can safely recommend it because of how intelligently the tools that this platform has can be worked on, thus achieving a great transformation of the digital age.

I do recommend that people who handle programming very well go deeper into this platform, since the person will be able to develop better automations without having the limitations of creating robots with visual tools, but rather they can go further, and not Human intervention is required for certain tasks that can become tedious over time. However, good results can be achieved by creating automations with the visual tools of UiPath.

Positive: UiPath has a strong uniqueness that makes automation platforms fall a bit below it and that is that not only can you connect to external platforms through its API, but you can also apply UI automations, being able to interact through code internal of the different connected applications and can also interact through graphical interfaces of the different platforms that UiPath has. The possibilities that this platform has are very endless when it comes to automation to improve better workflows without having to put a lot of effort into programming this RPA.

They have integrated artificial intelligence capabilities that can allow automatic learning models, which makes robots made with this platform more intelligent with information processing and can also generate more efficient optimization that can achieve the objectives set. With this feature, artificial intelligences can be created to perform different tasks, since they can be trained and then implemented in the required automations and can also be monitored in real time in order to see the impact that an artificial intelligence is causing, measuring its performance. and if the automation is working or not as planned during its construction.

It allows an environment under the development of robots with low code, allowing automation to be carried out without requiring so much experience in a quick and easy way, through visual tools that can be used through the characteristics of drag and drop tasks that can be assigned and ordered by Steps. For more advanced and personalized features, tools or use, it will require some experience that I will leave in writing later to specify what I am trying to say, but for basic functions it is possible to have something and through trial and error it can be polished. robots so advanced that they can manage to satisfy certain needs.

The community is very active and has a large number of developers who have experience in developing robots, this can be important in order to obtain knowledge and resources on how to have better efficiency by being able to create better quality robots that allow for better optimization in any area of work that is needed. Not only that counts with UiPath, but you can also find a lot of information through the blogs, webinars and courses that are on the website of this platform, I feel this is more useful to have good practices in automations. Also, within the UiPath community there is a large amount of material and solutions from other users that can be used for their own benefit or for a company that is looking for components that solve a problem but has little time to dedicate to building a robot or automation from zero scratch.

Negative: You have to be familiar with this type of RPA platform, even more so when you have to connect the APIs of different web services that require automation through code, so you also have to have advanced programming knowledge to apply these improvements or automations. Therefore, if you are a private person with no prior knowledge of what I have just mentioned, you will need to invest a large amount of time and effort to learn about this platform and be able to handle it correctly in an effective way in order to achieve efficiency within the automations. There are many advanced features within this platform that you will need to go through certain challenges in order to fully understand the functionality of each tool or feature that UiPath offers.

Keep in mind that there is a great risk when handling certain confidential information with this platform since, as I have said, it can handle automations both at the API level and also at the interface level, so certain storage data can be very confidential and that these robots can gain access to them. So you have to know about how privacy is managed and that the safeguarding of confidential information is being complied with since everything is stored in the cloud. I recommend that when using this platform for the first time, all available security measures such as two-step authentication are implemented, and that all data is encrypted for greater security and important data is not leaked.

    Promising low-code automation

    Date: Jun 15 2021

Summary: A great step towards eliminating various redundancies in existing systems. UiPath does a good job at automating various tasks that are simple by nature but time consuming to execute.

Positive: Works directly on UI layer, so no messing around with APIs and root access. Fairly easy to pick up in a short amount of time. Free version does enough for everyday users.

Negative: Packages suddenly stop working and need to be downgraded to suit particular tasks. There are several errors which do not give proper information so troubleshooting is not easy at all.
Design looks a little dated nowadays.
