TeraCopy Description

TeraCopy will attempt to recover any copy errors. It will skip the problem file if it is unable to recover. It can also wait for the device or network reconnection. To speed up the transfer, you can skip unnecessary files. TeraCopy will show you the errors it has detected and allow you to fix them by recopying only those files. TeraCopy can verify files that have been copied to confirm that they are identical. This is done by comparing hashes between the source and target files. TeraCopy may optionally display a confirmation dialog for every drag-and-drop operation. It can prevent you accidentally moving folders from one place to another. TeraCopy allows you to keep a history of recently used directories and show folders that are open in Explorer or other file managers.

    Absolutely "Must Have " Utility

    Summary: This small utility is absolutely awesome for newbies and power users. I have # of cold storage (500TB) cold storage full of files. I have created hash of all files and once every 7-8 months I run the hashes to verify files health, it is "Must Utility)

    Positive: *Supports multi-threading for fast simultaneous copy/move, verifying hash
    *Queening and automatic file processing for best speed
    *Creating # of different hashes of files/folders and using it to verify if any of
    them got deleted or alter
    *Built in hash verifier

    Negative: I have tested version 4.0.5 extensively and so far, has none as far I am aware.

    Trash. Deletes files on move, then doesn't move them

    Summary: Deleted Teracopy. It is trash. If a program, any program, deletes files without warning you first, then it's nothing more than malware. This is malware

    Positive: There are none. There is no advantage to a program that deletes your files without informing you. I find no speed benefit and the updates have made following transfers far more confusing than windows file copy

    Negative: Connected my windows PC to my Samsung phone. Made the mistake of asking Teracopy to move my files instead of windows. Teracopy promptly deleted files from the phone and failed to move them
