Tencap Tennis Description

Your rating will increase if your performance is better than what the system predicts. However, your rating will drop if it predicts that you will do worse than the system predicts. Ratings are not affected if opponents are more than 10 ratings points apart, unless the weaker team/player wins. Ratings are not affected if each player has a Tencap rating. Players can earn a Tencap rating if they are the only player in a doubles pair and do not have a rating, or if they play a singles rating. Your rating does not include any set where the winner does less than 4 games. Each match brings an increase in Rating Confidence. The accuracy of your opponents ratings as well as the number of people playing will determine how much this increases. Tencap's patent-pending algorithm for rating adjustments is used. However, it works on the principle that the higher your rating accuracy, the less movement you will make.

Tencap Tennis User Reviews

  • Our senior club has about 4 years experience with TenCap. So far one man fell and broke his neck and a woman fell and broke her wrist. Both are out of tennis. Others have injured their knees and hips, elbows and shoulders. 380 players have dropped out of the league since starting TenCap. They prefer other activities because tennis isn't fun anymore. We are old and don't need to play matches with 3 tie-breakers for 2.5-3 hours. This much competition might be OK for young people, but too risky for geezers and geezerettes.
