Takeoff Field Tools Description

Takeoff Field Tools is a specialized software designed for construction takeoff and estimating, tailored for Windows users such as owner-estimators, small contractors, specialty trades, remodelers, and rehab investors who prefer a streamlined desktop experience without ongoing seat fees. Users can easily import PDF plans, floorplans, or other compatible images, calibrate scales using accurate labeled dimensions, and measure various metrics like counts, lengths, areas, perimeters, and volumes, ultimately converting project scopes into detailed, reviewable estimates that incorporate reusable items, assemblies, costs, waste, labor, overhead, and profit. The software facilitates the creation of proposals, workbooks, quantity reports, exports, backups, and comprehensive project packages, ensuring that both projects and reusable estimating logic remain stored locally on the PC, with the main workflow functioning offline post-installation. Exclusively available for Windows, it does not offer features such as automatic AI takeoff, hosted collaboration, or mobile applications, and users need to ensure photo measurements are based on reliable references and verified in the field.
