SurgyScribe is an innovative tool that enhances clinical documentation for hospital healthcare providers by utilizing AI technology. It captures both consultations and dictated summaries from doctors, converting speech into written form while creating organized notes based on templates tailored to specific departments. Additionally, it can seamlessly pull in appointment schedules and patient demographics from electronic health records (EHR), recommend ICD-10 and ICD-11 codes for diagnoses, and facilitate the addition of notes to patient charts for clinician evaluation and approval. Among its features are accurate conversation transcription, formatting options, and the ability to edit notes section by section by re-recording specific parts. Supporting transcription in 89 different languages, the notes produced are maintained in clinical English for consistency. SurgyScribe is particularly geared towards outpatient visits, discharge documents, and referral letters, and it includes a convenient browser extension compatible with web-based EHRs. Importantly, patient identifiers from the EHR are not transmitted to external AI services, and enterprise-level AI accounts can implement settings that ensure zero retention of data.
