Skylight is a smart profiler that works with Ruby and Rails applications. It converts performance data into actionable insights so you can spend less time diagnosing and more on improving. Endpoints are sorted by "agony", which is a weighted measure for slowness and popularity. Endpoints at the top of the list will you give you the biggest bang for your performance-optimization buck. Our endpoint graphs will show you exactly where slowdowns are taking place. To identify the events you should be focusing on, look for the longest bars in an endpoint sequence. After you have improved your code, redeploy the app. The overview graph shows the progress of your app and plots deployments. You can view a histogram showing response times to find low-frequency slowdowns which could skew your average. To find bottlenecks, you can see the aggregate event sequences sorted by time or allocations. Find your slowest responses. Learn the differences between your fastest responses and your slowest ones.
