    Summary: We are HBT, an IT consulting and software development company based in Hamburg, Germany. We use the service as part of a SaaS solution for one of our larger customers.

    Overall, it has been a very good fit for us. Keycloak is an important part of the solution, but operating Keycloak itself is not where we want to spend our time. The service gives us the features and flexibility we need while keeping the operational effort manageable.

    Positive: Very easy to set up and get running. The semi-automatic updates reduce the operational effort while still giving us control over the process. Support for legacy token exchange was also important for our specific setup and worked well for us.

    Negative: Nothing major so far. We would appreciate a bit more transparency around upcoming updates and version changes.

    Exactly what I was looking for to run Keycloak

    Summary: I previously hosted Keycloak myself using Docker and wanted to get rid of the ongoing work involved in server maintenance, updates, backups, and keeping everything reliable. With Skycloak, I was able to migrate my existing installation without any issues.

    I'd also like to sincerely thank the Skycloak team for offering me a special arrangement for my first year. As an independent developer building and growing my own applications, I really appreciate this kind of flexibility and support.

    If you want to use Keycloak without having to manage the underlying infrastructure yourself, I can definitely recommend Skycloak. 5 stars!

    Positive: The setup and migration process were straightforward. I was able to migrate my existing Keycloak installation, including my existing database, keep my own custom domain, and continue using real Keycloak without rebuilding my configuration from scratch. Everything has been running reliably since the migration. The support has been excellent: friendly, personal, fast, and technically competent whenever I had questions.

    Negative: I don't have any specific drawbacks to mention at this point.
