Sigmund AURA Description

Two things are essential for doctors and their medical teams: accuracy and efficiency. Sigmund's EHR removes the burden from the provider to give their patients the care they deserve. We understand that you are very busy. We understand that your staff cannot afford to lose their time with a cumbersome system. Sigmund has created (and continues to develop) a platform that meets the EHR requirements in addiction and behavioral health treatment. We believe that every provider should have a powerful EHR because every patient deserves excellent, comprehensive care. We offer a wide range of EHR services and a dynamic suite that can be tailored to your business. Sigmund AURA, a cloud-based, fully-integrated, intuitive EHR, allows providers to delegate work, create reports quickly, and document easily. This allows them to remain focused on their patients.

    Horrific and Crippling Experience

    Date: Sep 26 2022

Summary: Switching to Sigmund was the worst mistake my business ever made. Cannot wait to be done. Their billing team is equally incompetent.

Positive: They promised the world- that it would be completely customizable and the "Cadillac" of software. It delivered on NOTHING.

Negative: Not user friendly. Hard to navigate. Never implemented properly by their team. Continual bugs and glitches over the past year, culminating in 2 weeks of NO ACCESS and lost notes after being hacked, WITHOUT A BACKUP SERVER to provide notes.

    Avoid

    Date: Nov 17 2021

Summary: The practice I work at transitioned to Aura Sigmond from Practice Fusion. My stress level at work has increased greatly as a result. It is taking me much longer to see patients than before due to the cumbersomeness of the system. I have used One Touch, Kareo, Epic, Practice Fusion, and by comparison, this Aura is the worst.

Positive: Cheaper than Kareo and many other competitors, but there is a saying that what you pay for is what you get.

They promised it would make billing easier, but I don't handle that part of things.

Negative: Not intuitive to use compared with other EMRs.
Cumbersome compared to other EMRs I have used.
Prescribing requires many clicks as well as scrolling down.
Editing progress notes is cumbersome and sometimes takes several clicks to get into the editing section.
Frequent error messages saying that notes cannot be edited because someone else is in the (when office staff insist no one is in the note). No one in the office is happy with it.
Staff doing billing have reported issues with the software.
