Shutter Description
Shutter is a powerful screenshot program that can be used with Linux-based operating systems like Ubuntu. You can take a screenshot from a specific area, window or entire screen. You can also draw on it to highlight important points and then upload it to an image hosting website. Shutter is open-source and free. It is licensed under the GPL v3. Shutter allows you capture almost anything on your screen and gives you full control over your screenshots (tabbed Interface). You will need to edit the image if you want to write tutorials or manuals. Highlighting a part of the image. Shutter comes with its own editor, so you don't have to open GIMP or another external graphics editor. We spend a lot of time on forums, wikis and chats. We all need to take screenshots from time to time and upload them to share with others.
