badly written software with disingenuious support people

    Date: Jan 11 2020

Summary: although the software which is written the 4D platform is buggy as hell and looks like it was written by hobbyists, i tolerated it because i liked that you could buy the software outright, (no subscription). sadly, they have discontinued this and moved to a subscription only model. the two support guys seem to have trouble with the truth and seem to operate on the premise that their main clientele is not tech savvy enough to know when they are bullshitting . in most cases this may be true but i also happen to be a computer tech so i was abundantly clear. although they're subscription only now, their programmers are not smart enough to make it verifiable or how to create an expiring demo. so they lie about the fact that the demo is no different from the paid version and try to scare customers into believing their ongoing support is essential. and will routinely try to leverage it against you buying a subscription for the next year. i'm currently researching alternatives and don't expect it will take long to find something better.

Positive: it's not cloud based which i prefer.
that about it but this needs to be at least fifty words.
    please excuse the unnecessary verbage.

    Negative: buggy software
    dishonest amateur support
    has moved to subscription only

    Horror just Horrible

    Date: Aug 10 2021

Summary: This experience has been the worst. I never had such poor customer service and having some computer programing knowledge myself, it is clear to me that ShrinkRapt cut some vital corners building this software, probably to finish sooner. These tactic in programming promotes a non-user friendly and mistake prone program. An example, designating a payment w/ an adjustment is process which takes 7 steps to complete. I am currently in process of leaving ShrinkRapt. Your staff will thank you not to purchase an inevitable avalanche of problems.

Positive: We have young front desk agents. Many only know the basics of digital computing. This software is as basic at it comes.

Negative: A lot of bugs - silly bugs that could easily be fixed but there does not seem a care from the staff at saner software. In proving this, their customer service is solely communication is via email. If you have a vital question, you may have to wait 3-4 days to get an unclear and fragmented response forcing you to request further clarification in a reply and back again.... Mean while you've seen 30-50 patients since and the practice is behind schedule and the billing is paralyzed.
