Summary: Redwood tool is completely managed, it oversees automation upgrades, removes dependencies, and seamlessly centralizes and supports on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. Utilizing modern design, it circumvents outdated scheduling constraints.

Positive: The highly adaptable Redwood Software can be customized to meet the specific needs of any company.
What's great is that we can establish connections to databases and fetch data using JDBC and other queries.

Negative: Frequent reliance on customer support for intricate improvements could be streamlined through documentation, saving users time and effort. Additionally, SOP documentation should accompany software purchases, detailing integration procedures for third-party systems with Redwood.

Summary: One of Redwood's standout features is the automatic incident creation in ServiceNow. It also adjusts job schedule frequency according to daylight saving changes. Currently, all our batch jobs are set to the Australia timezone.

Positive: Redwood efficiently and accurately completes tasks. Even users without or with less technical expertise or coding knowledge can design and configure automation workflows.

Negative: Some reports cannot be customized directly; they must first be downloaded in Excel format, and then filtered in the Excel sheet according to our requirements.

Summary: The alerting module in Redwood RunMyJobs significantly simplified my daily tasks. I utilized the wildcard (*) option to establish a process alert source for terminated and errored jobs, ensuring email alerts are sent to all recipients listed in the header mail.

Positive: By executing the script in licensing tab, you can renew the Redwood license by copying the content from "begin license" to "end license" in the .txt file. Also outdated or expired license can be deleted easily .It includes advanced functionalities such as Dashboards for comprehensive statistical insights, along with round-the-clock vendor support.

Negative: you can incorporate extra default time intervals and submission frames to facilitate scheduling batch jobs according to customer or business needs. Integrating with multiple platforms requires significant time, manual effort, and human input.

Summary: Redwood allows us to customize our navigation bar for immediate access by adding objects such as custom filters and column choosers for a quick view. Additionally, we can activate the operator message tab so that users can promptly acknowledge job failures and address issues accordingly

Positive: Redwood Workload Automation jobs are seamlessly imported from the SAP system. Moreover, Redwood servers can integrate with Oracle DB, PeopleSoft, and various other databases alongside SAP ECC. it also connects to different application systems like PI channels, EMI , Infor, VIM etc.

Negative: We cannot flexibly link jobs within a dependent setup. It requires numerous steps to be added and extensive testing in the development system before deployment into the production system.

Summary: By incorporating both upstream and downstream jobs, the platform ensures precise attribute, value, and environment variable selection, simplifying daily recurring tasks through automation. It also maintains a job history and provides live monitoring.

Positive: Recognizing job status, terminating tasks, job overviews, and RunMyJob's capacity to run multiple jobs concurrently are effortless actions. Redwood comes with all the latest scripts, features, and customizable options.

Negative: Using the Redwood application on Windows instead of the website URL would offer more benefits.

Summary: Redwood has eradicated the necessity for coding, handling automation upgrades, and mitigating dependencies. Enables users to promptly identify and address issues before they escalate into major problems.

Positive: It offers convenient oversight of job management and automation workflow control. The automated alert reaction is highly beneficial for extended-duration and unsuccessful jobs outside of business hours.

Negative: Redwood main help guide documentation lacks specific points or solutions for business needs, necessitating us to contact customer support for any inquiries. UI interface of the dashboard can be improved, it looks a bit outdated.

Summary: Redwood RMJ offers robust server security and load-balancing capabilities. Utilizing Redwood Automation, we can effortlessly retrieve daily reports according to the client's needs and monitor the status of every job, active, aborted or killed.

Positive: Redwood automation allows us to depend on the software for timely execution of our key operations with minimal anticipated errors. This time efficiency aids us in meeting client requirements. Controlling a complex workflow becomes easier with simple events, simplifying life.

Negative: Initially, the only challenge was the manual deletion or activation of events to execute certain tasks and await job completion, despite the file being correctly placed in AL11. Rest other features in Redwood are outstanding.

Summary: Within the Redwood system, there is an application tab that categorizes jobs based on their functional group, making it easy to locate jobs in the future. The environment segment in Redwood manages the connections to third-party systems, along with all details related to RFC connections and user credentials.

Positive: Creating and scheduling jobs in Redwood is incredibly simple; everything can be done with just a few clicks and without code/scripts.
Redwood aids in automating security checks and also provides access control methods, ensuring IT systems meet Compliance requirements and stick to security policies.

Negative: There is a need to enhance communication and support from the Redwood Help/L1 Support team. Their turnaround time for issue resolution is lengthy, which could potentially impact the Redwood system before the problem is addressed.

Summary: Overall I can say, Redwood is one of the best automation which I have came across where it is connected to heart of our system and helps in different repetitive activities.

Positive: According to me Redwood proves its versatility and user-friendly nature when it comes to streamlining workflows. Secondly with it's advanced scheduling mechanism, the system facilitates the exact activation of tasks at intervals chosen by the user, ensuring smooth and automated task execution as per designated timeframes.

Negative: I don't think of any cons, it is a great automation.

Summary: Once jobs are set up and scheduled in Redwood, they run continuously round the clock until we disable or hold them.
We fetch monthly reports from the Redwood system to check the list of failed or error jobs, which we then send to the audit team for evaluation.

All SAP-related jobs can be controlled and monitored from Redwood itself.

Positive: Redwood offers numerous features to tackle complex tasks and efficiently monitor SAP-related batch jobs around the clock.
Redwood provides a structural diagram for each job and its associated processes, making it easy to understand and control workflow, including job-related parameters such as program name, variant, and job class.

Negative: Creating multiple users in Redwood is straightforward; however, if limited viewing and administration options are selected, the user will not be able to log in. Also, last login details of users are not displayed on the user dashboard.

Summary: I integrated Redwood with SAP system, enabling the scheduling and execution of batch jobs based on Regional requirement and time zone.
A standout feature of Redwood RMJ is its "Submit Frames" and "Time Window" functionality, offering multiple options for scheduling batch jobs according to business needs, all without the necessity of writing any code or scripts.

Positive: I particularly appreciated the aesthetic and functionality of the Redwood user interface.
Any job failures can be easily tracked and addressed immediately with help of notification alerts.
The logs provided by Redwood system are identical to those at the SAP end, facilitating analysis and and enabling easy transmission to the dedicated functional team for resolution.

Negative: There are only a few areas on Redwood that require attention for potential enhancements.
1) Integrating with third-party systems demands considerable time and involves coordinating with additional teams to understand the backend configuration.
2) We need to limit the number of job execution size, although its not the preferred approach.

Summary: The primary advantage of Redwood is that it enhances efficiency, minimizes errors , and boosts productivity of all ERP users. Redwood is best in automation industry. Creating advanced dashboards helps to see all statistics like failed jobs, error job count, long running , event wait counts.

Positive: Redwood offers numerous features and predefined tabs, making it effortless for users to schedule and monitor any number of batch jobs.
Redwood enables the creation of intricate job chains, ensuring that the second step from another S/4 HANA system only triggers after the completion of the first step from a SAP ECC system.

Negative: During report extraction, we are restricted to a limited selection of supported formats for exporting reports.
Crafting a customized SQL query for creating new filter or clearing batch job history differs significantly from writing a standard SQL query.

Summary: Since I've been using it I have been a fan of this application, really it is most efficient tool in doing repetitive tasks hence It saves a lot of time with minimum possibility of error and during the patching activity or down time all the schedulers can be stopped and jobs are halted

Positive: Redwood automation stands out as an exceptional tool for handling organizational workloads. Its direct integration into our system, which handles over 2500 tasks daily, is a major advantage. By efficiently tackling repetitive tasks without errors, it saves us significant time. It oversees batch jobs, providing valuable insights into job statuses—whether failed, running, stopped, or awaiting dependencies. With its capabilities for monitoring and scheduling tasks at different intervals, it ranks among the top tools available in the market.

Negative: I feel that it requires significant training investment for users to leverage its capabilities fully.
Second thing is cost, a small organization can not afford it.

Summary: My team and I initially developed Redwood RMJ from scratch and seamlessly imported all jobs from the legacy system in a single operation. Retrieving audit reports from the Redwood system for (killed, error, long running jobs) is notably simpler compared to other automation tools.

Positive: 1) A significant benefit of utilizing RMJ is the ability to effortlessly manage and monitor numerous jobs with just a few clicks.
2) Using Redwood RMJ simplifies the creation of job chains, event waits, and SAP event control jobs, making them much less complex.
3)Developed customized dashboard aids in monitoring daily job progress, system workload and health checks, thereby reducing the need for human intervention.

Negative: 1) All features in Redwood RMJ is much advanced than old CPS system or UC4 system. It has less scripting and everything can be done by clicks and ticks.
2) A notable limitation of Redwood RMJ is its lack of support or integration with ServiceNow for automatic incident creation.
