Reserve Protocol Description
The ultimate goal is to offer an alternative fiat currency. This is basically what cryptocurrency was intended to do, though it uses different methods than bitcoin. By aggregating tokenized assets into a single currency, we can create stable currencies with high purchasing power that are not dependent on state-issued currencies. Although we don't have a specific basket in mind, we think the right baskets would include commodities, debt, and equities. Regulators may limit what can be included. This is a problem that we are still working on. Since the right basket may not be the right one tomorrow, the protocol will need to allow for evolution in the baskets.
