Solution Partner - File Block and Object in a single CEPH-based Open Source solution Date: Feb 02 2022
Summary: OSNEXUS QuantaStor is ideal for SMBs and mid-sized enterprises with multi-petabyte requirements. The cost-savings of moving near-line storage from public to on-premises without sacrificing performance should be considered for storage admins managing CDNs, HPC and back-up and archive workloads.
Positive: The unified storage grid creates a single storage platform to deploy file, block and object storage pools across multisites, simplifying management from a single web-based dashboard.
Built atop a CEPH-based cluster architecture, removes the complexities of configuration while delivering a high-performance, low-latency (NVME SSD and NVMe-oF support) and highly scalable environments.
Works well in multisite environments, as well as private and multi-cloud or hybrid cloud infrastructures. 20+ API integrations, including Veeam, Dropbox and Docker, increases your ROI for the storage investment with the ability to connect to all line of business apps.Negative: Large user-base in Western Europe where Open Source is more readily adopted but growing use-cases in North America based on head-to-head comparisons with legacy storage.

Cost effective solution with a variety of servers to choose Edited: Jan 06 2022
Summary: Their grid technology combines several systems in a common control plane. The management interface is accessible on every single system. It’s highly and easily scalable, so as you span either at the same location or different DC. You can add servers into the grid, and still manage all as one. We've been selling QuantaStor solutions for several years, and only have good things to say about OSNEXUS. Our customers are very pleased with the product and the support is fantastic. OSNEXUS always goes out of their way to take care of the customer. All in all, I strongly recommend the storage product!
Positive: 1. Support File/Block/Object Storage types
2. Deploy clusters and create pool in only few steps
3. Easy to use for multi-site management
4. A variety of storage configurations with scalability
5. Quick support responsesNegative: I personally think lack of brand visibility is the only drawback. Most of the people are fascinated with BIG brands, but not getting back what they pay for.
