Proposal Architect Description

Many companies treat federal government proposal writing like a stepchild. These companies view the process of responding to a federal Request for Proposal as a complicated and tedious task. Instead, it becomes a series chaotic events that culminates in a last-minute crunch just days (and nights) before the proposal is due. The Proposal Manager (if there is one), who can produce the majority of the proposal but cannot provide the technical solution to the customer's problem, is the center of all this chaos. Proposals are most successful because they have a customer-centric, compelling, technical approach. Usually, the center of the chaos is the one who produces the approach. The Proposal Architect uses a table-driven method to develop a technical solution for a customer's problem. The Proposal Architect will provide suggested formats for work breakdowns. These will then be converted to linked tables with task and subtasks to create a detailed outline of the technical approach.
