Post is a civil forum where you can discuss ideas, learn from journalists, creators and others, have fun, and converse freely. Many of the ad-based platforms today are focused on grabbing attention at all costs -- creating chaos in society, amplifying extremes, and muting the moderates. Post is intended to give voice to the marginalized majority. There are plenty of platforms for extremists and we cannot surrender the town square to them.

We are aware that this is a lofty goal. The world is complex and there is no right answer to many of these questions. We know that we will make mistakes, but we promise we will listen to and be responsive to our community.
