Pleasant3D Description
I was often faced with the problem of STL files that needed minor editing to print on my 3D printer. It was usually a simple move to center of the build platform or a change in sizing. OpenGL code was also written a few months ago to visualize STL files and GCode files. This was for a larger project. Finally, I encountered a problem when I downloaded an ASCII-encoded STL file and wanted it to be opened in my 3D/CAD program. This application cannot read binary STL files so I needed a simple way to convert ASCII STL into binary STL. Pleasant3D is a small utility that solves these issues and uses the mentioned visualization code to display STL files and GCode files. This version implements better error-checking in Quicklook plugins. If Quicklook generation fails, it will display the standard document icon. Quicklockd won't crash anymore if there are problems.
