    Good App - Not Intuitive - One Big Flaw

    Summary: I appreciate the application from a safety point of view - that's great. It could be more intuitive and allow delegates to be assigned on the day of pick up.

    Positive: It does what it's supposed to do - make sure that my kid isn't picked up by a stranger. It also allows other to be delegated to pick up my kid when I can't.

    Negative: It's not the most intuitive application to be honest. Adding Delegates should be easier. Also, the fact that you can't change a Delegate on the same day is absurd, IMHO. If I need a last minute change, I should be able to do that.

    Summary: When it works it works out fine. It just needs some user friendly tweaks to make it a bit better for parents.

    Positive: The app is useful to the school to manage kids getting picked up (when it works). Glad there is an app to mange pick up.

    Negative: I don't really find it user friendly. I have to log out and log back in most of the time to reset. Then when I am at school or close to school sometimes it does not work.
    It's hard to manage weekly pickup related to after school care. Also find it difficult to assign other people for pickup.

    Summary: It is frustrating and confusing, not user friendly. If there were more menu options with some instructions On how to make changes in the app that would be helpful.

    Positive: Accuracy for kids being picked up is good enough. Can see there are safety benefits for parents, students and and for the school.

    Negative: As a parent I don’t like having to use my phone while driving. Especially pulling into the school parking lot to announce, it is very distracting. The app does not make it easy to make changes to who is picking up, especially when there are changes to recurring carpool plans. It is not clear what the cut off time is to make any changes on the “day of” pick up.

    As a teacher, the student status on the computer does not happen quick enough without delaying when to send student out.

    Handy, but needs some tweaking

    Summary: Would be helpful to be able to change both kids at once. It's frustrating to get into the app and have to do each child separately.

    Positive: It's handy and updates quickly. It is easy to tell what you've selected with the bus icon, walking icon, pick up icon, etc.

    Negative: Isn't easy to make a change for 1 day. I'm confused about how to change just one day's pick up and not mess with the default.

    Summary: Stressful to say the least when attempting to pick up my grandson and the application wasn't posting the child's father as an authorized person to pick him up.

    Positive: Too early to tell. Have only used this app twice and it failed to post the authorized account on the second try.

    Negative: Student's father and grandfather shared the same first and last name which the application doesn't like. Two accounts with the same name but different addresses and phone numbers should be allowed or at least flagged right away with the proper feedback during the account creation process.

    Software is confusing but customer support is awesome!

    Summary: So far, it has been a little rough, but I'm still new to the app. A+ to customer support for helping me immediately!

    Positive: Customer support - I had a question that was answered almost instantly and with a positive resolution!

    Negative: I was confused about what to do, my child didn't show up in the app and I was not able to add him myself. The app asked me for a QR code, which I didn't have and the school didn't know what that was either.

    Summary: It's just the 1st day for me. I would prefer to not have this extra something to do at school drop-off. I see this app check-in as being inconvenient.

    Positive: If PikMyKid helps to make the transition into the school quicker for parents/kids I approve. I contacted support via their app and i received a quick response via email.

    Negative: The feedback could have come in the app. If there could be a messages tab that would be great.

    Summary: Fair. It did help greatly on a stormy day when allowing parents to properly announce when outside. Allowed the counselor to so nicely escort my daughter out with an umbrella. When delegating works, it is very convenient to streamline notifying camp which parent is picking up which additional kids.

    Positive: When it works, it makes pick up very easy, allowing counselors to know if we are outside and they are inside.

    Negative: It often doesn't properly note that I have arrived at the location, so doesn't open the announce button for me to acknowledge I am there.
    When assigning between carpooling parents, it doesn't consistently acknowledge/share the assignment.

    Summary: I really love that my daughter's school is so tech savvy and this app just adds to the utilization of helpful tools for parents and students.

    Positive: This is a great app and I would recommend it to any parent and school. That is very helpful seeing as We are coparents so week to week is easier with this app.

    Negative: The app only works when the school follows the proper steps. Dismissal time has been a little hectic so the school does not always have the time to hit the extra step to sign out notifications on those days.

    Summary: It was a good carpool system. It was easy for my parents to use for their grandchildren. The display in the cafeteria was large.

    Positive: My child was able to clearly see her number and be prepared for pick up. Additional safety feature and moved the carpool line faster.

    Summary: Simple notification app that notifies the school that kids are symptom free from COVID on drop-off, and announces that their ride home is ready at pick-up.

    Positive: Simple, easy to use with one hand while driving. Instantly notifies school at drop-off and pick-up. The link to Google Maps is convenient for assessing traffic.

    Negative: No system to notify the school AFAIK that a student will not be attending class or will be late for some reason.

    Summary: I appreciate the safety features it offers parents. I also support my children’s school administrators who believe in this product and happy to contribute to the cost.

    Positive: The app was introduced to us last year at our children’s primary school. They needed a way to control who and how many children were being released, especially with the threats of COVID. The biggest pro is that I feel like my children are safe inside until they are “released” via the app to me or an assigned pick-up partner. I really enjoy being able to decide in advance if I am walking vs. driving to pick up my children. Previously, when school was out so were hundreds of students and I’d wade in the sea of running primary students to find my own children.

    Negative: I don’t feel like the app is the most advanced. It seems very basic, which is fine. However, I am not sure it’s the easiest if English wasn’t my first language or how it appears on anything other than an apple device.

    Positive: Support team (Nita) was really helpful. And they answered my questions quickly. I solved my problems with their help.
