PedigreePoint Description
PedigreePoint allows you to publish your database online so that others can search for pedigrees, and view other reports about an entry. PedPoint uses a MySQL database to store your pedigree data. Once you are ready, you can publish any updates in the desktop application. Below is a sample of the pedigree display. The sample below shows how PedPoint displays photos as well as what we call "marks" which are solid blocks of color within some of the cells. These can be used as a way to indicate if an entry, for example, has a genetic defect. PedigreePoint is written in PHP and installs onto a website. It connects to the MySQL relational database, which is typically located on the same computer as the website.
