PIX has been closely involved with David Fincher and No. Since Panic Room's 2001 launch, PIX has been closely collaborating with David Fincher and his No. Fincher was one of the first directors who used digital cameras, using the Thomson Viper on Zodiac. Fincher and his team continue to redefine technology. They strive to blur the lines between post production and production, automate the mundane, and communicate their creative visions more clearly. Fincher used the latest digital capture technology again on Netflix's Mindhunter. He had custom RED Xenomorph cameras made to his specifications. They integrated all the usual components of a camera (wireless video transmitters and focus controls, etc.). For a more ergonomic design, Fincher integrated the camera's components into it. Fincher was driven to innovate beyond the camera and he once again turned to PIX.
