Summary: One of the better MES provider out there, amazing support team and customer service. Very flexible to help you with your business needs.

Positive: 1. Exceptional customer service

Negative: Some configurations are still a bit manual which causes some concerns on sustainability when scaling up and initial setup.

Summary: Excellent!! Levi and Vineet were instrumental in helping myself and staff understand the system and roll it out to both of our assembly lines.

Positive: Excellent MES system that is easy to configure and support. End user support is excellent from the company!

Negative: Nothing so far! I think the only thing that I would like to see is iOS and Android support.

Summary: I would highly recommend Pinpoint if you want to increase the quality of your product, drive down warranty and improve your manufacturing processes.

Positive: This out of the box MES solution is easy to implement and versatile when configuring. The ideal solution for process control, tool interlock, traceability, data collection / retention and the integration of other devices such as PLC's, torque positioning arms, etc. Overall, the support is top notch, and the software is world class.

Negative: The Pinpoint software in previous versions had some flaws, but the latest version seems flawless thus far.

Summary: The software is intuitive to configure with allowing unique process functionality at the same time. PINpoint offers detailed training and their technical support team understands your systems and details of your integration ensuring you have support on the software if needed.

Positive: Our company has been utilizing the PINpoint MES software since 2012. We have multiple assembly lines configured utilizing the software. Incorporation of the software on our lines ensures our engines are produced to specification as the product is configured within the PINpoint system. Ensuring the key critical data is stored for each engine produced is valuable for our business. We continue to incorporate the PINpoint MES software on our newest assembly lines ensuring we produce the highest quality products for our customers.

Negative: To allow for unique process functionality, each product has to be configured individually. In the future it would be beneficial to have a template we would input our system information into that would upload for ease of configuration. Multi-level and department system support is required with controls for the PLC for communication. Software licensing and maintenance fees to be considered in overall project planning ensuring cost justification considerations are met.

Summary: Since its implementation in July 2009, overall product quality has improved, fastening Cpk has dramatically improved. Using the reporting capabilities with the PINpoint database cube reports, we can trace every final torque fastening that leave the plant and goes to our customers within seconds of their being fastened! This also helps with making the proper decisions for tweaking Psets speeds and ramps, so the final torque target isn't just close, but is a bullseye every fastening, no matter what type of joint construction or torque value.

Positive: Everything is traceable! From the moment the user logs in, every move is managed and controlled using PINpoint to interlock our Digitally Monitored Torque Tooling (DMTT) with PINpoint socket trays. Everything from printing shipping labels, pin stamping a part, using a digital gage to record a shafts endplay measurement, to monitoring and recording every fastening completed within the facility.
Production problems are traceable using the available built-in ANDON system with easily configured buttons, text messaging to 1st responders, everything is documented and timestamped. No more guessing or exaggerating downtimes within your workstations. PINpoint's easily configurable and puts you in complete control of your process while giving you up to the second data of all operations as they happen on the shop floor

Negative: As a 1st responder supporting multiple facilities (280+ work stations with 400 DMTTs), the inconsistencies in the way things are named or referred to from one site to another needs to be standardized. While naming is in the user’s control and not really a PINpoint issue, the thing that would benefit a large company rolling out PINpoint across multiple facilities would be to develop a "Standardized Naming Convention" for process steps, fastening steps, tooling, tooling types, production lines, work stations, data managers, and devices before starting. Standardize EVERYTHING!!
This way the support team from one site can actually help support multiple sites without ever actually being there in person because they know by a tool or device's name... what it actually is without ever laying eyes on it

Summary: I have been managing this software for my employer for 9 years now with around 400 daily users and I am always very satisfied with the richness of the functionalities, the simplicity of configuration and the ease of use by the operators. This software has enabled us to progress in the monitoring of the quality and the traceability of our products but also to improve our performance and our velocity thanks to judicious indicators. In addition, the PINpoint technical team has always been very efficient in resolving incidents as well as in analyzing needs during the implementation of new assembly lines or even during application upgrades.

Positive: This software has many qualities, I particularly appreciate the richness of the features offered, the highly customizable configuration, the ease of use by assembly operators, the relevance of the performance monitoring indicators and the competence of the technical support team.

Negative: Nothing really wrong with this software but there are still areas for improvement such as user / profile management which could be more efficient to manage a large number of users and more secure with better integration into the company directory.

Summary: Completely recommend to migrate to this new applications/softwares if looking for innovation and continue improvement.

Positive: I would say that Pinpoint has been a really major improvement that we have develop in our facilities. It has improved quality, velocity and it is really friendly from an operation standpoint.

Negative: Cost, every good app/software has it cost but I would say that is totally worth it.

Summary: I have been using the PINpoint system for over six years now and I have been very impressed with the software as a whole. The traceability helps us maintain the “Birth History” of all our products and the data collection and reporting structure allows us to find imperfections in the production process to improve station cycle times. The system connects to our DC tools and PLC with ease, making our operator stations more controllable.
It’s my responsibility to maintain over 300+ clients and the ease and functionality of the system makes it easier for me to cover more ground and the 24/7 Support is fantastic! The Integration Team is always on the spot when we need them!
I highly recommend the PINpoint software to any company interested in a functional, highly configurable system that is simple to use and easily customized for your specific needs.

Positive: The system is easy to configure and maintain. Data collection and reporting are very useful to help find problem areas.

Negative: Scheduler needs some improvement. I would like it to be easier to configure shifts across lines.
