Oracle eAM Description

Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (eAM), a part Oracle's E-Business Suite, provides organizations with the tools to design and implement maintenance procedures for assets and rebuildable inventory items. The maintenance procedures are an integral part an organization's asset lifecycle management strategy. They allow an organization to maximize asset utilization. eAM allows users to plan and schedule maintenance activities efficiently, with minimal disruption to production or operations. It improves resource efficiency, increases maintenance quality, tracks work history and records all maintenance expenses. Oracle eAM monitors the performance of assets (including inventory items that can be rebuilt) by using meters, quality plans, condition monitoring systems, and condition monitoring software. Effective preventive maintenance strategies can easily be implemented by effectively monitoring an asset’s operating condition.
