The plugin reduces the original image as well as all preview images for an uploaded motif. A key difference between desktop and online optimization tools is that Photoshop, ImageOptim and TinyPNG only deal with the original images. Thumbnails are generated only when an image is uploaded to WordPress. Optimus compresses all previews as well (=thumbnails). Reduced file size without affecting the image quality.

    Summary: Optimus optimizer is the most versatile plugin for WordPress. Overall I used this tool in WordPress. It automatically converts heavy size images into optimized and lite. The plugin is small but it does its job very effectively.

    Positive: It's the best WordPress plugin for realtime image optimization. The plugin is very easy to install and activate. There is no difference between the quality of optimized and original images.
