OpendTect Description
OpendTect software is made up of two parts. One is an open-source, free part, and the other is a commercial, closed source part that is protected with FlexNet license management software. OpendTect is the open-source component. It is a seismic interpretation software system that can interpret 2D and 3D seismic data. It also allows for rapid development of innovative interpretation tools. OpendTect can easily be extended by free plugins. OpendTect Pro is the closed-source version. This extended version offers additional functionality for professionals. OpendTect Pro can also be extended with plugins from the commercial sector that allow for unique seismic interpretation workflows.
