OpenSea Description

The largest digital marketplace for crypto collectibles, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and other assets. Discover, buy, sell, and discover digital assets such as Axies, ENS numbers, CryptoKitties and Decentraland. True digital ownership is key to creating new economies. OpenSea is the largest marketplace for user-owned digital products. This includes collectibles, gaming items and domain names. It also offers other assets that are backed by blockchain technology. OpenSea is excited about a new type of digital good, often called a non-fungible token or NFT. NFTs offer exciting new properties. They are unique, scarce, liquid, and can be used across multiple applications. You can do what you like with them, just as physical goods. They can be thrown in the trash, given to a friend around the world, or sold on an open market. They are programmable digital assets, which is a big difference from physical goods.

    Top place to buy NFTs

    Date: Oct 29 2021

Summary: OpenSea is basically now the de facto place to buy and sell NFTs. There are other platforms out there but OpenSea is the biggest one and everyone knows about it. If you want to find the widest varieties of NFTs to buy, or want to reach a big market to sell your NFTs, OpenSea is the spot to do it.

Positive: OpenSea seems like it has won the market in terms of being the gold standard of where to buy and sell NFTs. Interface works well, everything is easy to use.

Negative: Sometimes the site is a bit slow but other than that I don't have any issues with it. Support takes a while to get back to you.

Zero response to help tickets etc

    Date: May 07 2022

Summary: Very frustrating. I've moved on to other platforms which aren't fantastic but at least they acknowledge their users.

Positive: It's supposedly the top dog but I don't see it. The bigger collections are there but they're on Rarible as well.

Negative: Zero support, zero acknowledgment of help tickets. You're completely on your own so pray nothing goes wrong and what you buy actually shows up. Absolutely forget about trying to get verification. I'm on month four of their "up to 5 business days" to review. All of my other social medias are verified so there shouldn't be a problem...but I wouldn't know if there is because they don't bother responding to ANYTHING.

Won't let me initialize wallet to post 1st sale

    Date: Nov 24 2021

Summary: Waste of time. I don't know how they got so popular, honestly. there are a few fees that are not easy to navigate in using the wallet with them so beware.

Positive: Uploading NFTs into a collection is easy. The app for the phone runs nicely. I like Coinbase Wallet to use with it.

Negative: Trying to list NFTs for sale, even if you do have the hundreds of dollars for gas, results in an eternal wait to initialize your wallet. I waited all day. Nothing. No response from customer service. RIP.

    Awful Company

    Date: Oct 15 2021

Summary: Overall this platform will probably fail. Do not invest time or money into it. Go with something better.

    Positive: Nothing.

Negative: Impossible to navigate. No assistance. Many people say they purchase and do not receive the item. Not even worthy of a single star.
