ODFToEPub allows anyone to create an e-book and has full control over the appearance. You only need a word processor capable of producing a document that is compatible with Apache OpenOffice and LibreOffice. This includes Apache OpenOffice and LibreOffice. However, you also need Microsoft Word, iWork or WordPerfect. Apache OpenOffice or LibreOffice allows you to choose the export function to convert ODT-files to ePub. This tool gives publishers instant feedback on the appearance of their e-book. To streamline their ePub production, publishers can provide a template to their authors and integrate the tool into their systems. Publishing internal documents as ebooks can help companies reduce printing costs. ODFToEPub can be used as an Apache OpenOffice or LibreOffice extension, as well as a standalone program.
