Easy to use and manage PDF tool.

    Date: Jan 17 2022

Summary: Overall I enjoy using Nitro PDF. I have used Adobe in the past but I find replacing text or editing documents in Nitro is easier and quicker.

Positive: Easy to use and edit PDF files. I am also able to slip or merge PDF files together so I can easily prepare and send them via email. Adding a signature is also easy to set up and allows for easy signing of documents digitally.

Negative: Sometimes the program can lag a bit or run slow. Also when working with large-sized PDFs and trying to merge them together the software will crash.

    Great Product - Small Downsides

    Date: May 11 2021

Summary: This product is excellent for the price. It comes with about 95% of the features that it's much more expensive competitors has, which easily makes it worthwhile unless those are required for your purposes.

Positive: - Text editing is simple
    - The ability to save and securely use signatures is helpful
    - There are multiple settings for redactions
    - Not SaaS, just a one time fee

    Negative: - Limited highlighting features
    - OCR capabilities are very hit or miss
    - I've found that some government documents require other PDF software, making this slightly less useful

    Lame and laggy

    Date: Jun 20 2023

Summary: Works. Poor performance. Does not replace Adobe Acrobat standard well. Much slower than Adobe Acrobat standard.

Positive: It does allow tweaking PDFs. You can rotate them, similar to a Adobe PDF editor (i think it was called Standard or something).

Negative: It's slow. Slow to start. Slow to do anything. My company decided to save a few bucks by no longer using the Adobe PDF editor, the performance impact is big. It takes 3 minutes or more every time I print a PDF because I then have to rotate it 90 degrees.

No Support - Several features simply don't work

    Edited: Jul 21 2022

Summary: Having paid out for Nitro and several upgrades over the course of several years, I am now looking for a solution that works better and offers some level of tech support when things go wrong. I would not recommend Nitro and hope to remove it from all of our computers soon.

Positive: It does most things you require in every day use of PDF files. I really don't have anything further to add that is positive.

Negative: There is no tech support. Contact Us and Submit Support Ticket links just send you to knowledge base and user form that is near impossible to join.
Security features that prevent your signature or content being stolen from the documents you product or edit DO NOT WORK. There is no helpful information about this in the user manual, the online knowledge base or user forum. Drawing a simple shape or editing anything is extremely clunky. It feels like you are using software that is brand new, created by 12 year olds and and still in BETA.

    The worst customer service ever.

    Date: Jun 20 2022

Summary: I would not Purchase this Product again, Wondershare PDFelement is a better program, which can also be used on either iPhone or iPad. you can find users that have tutorials on YouTube, and navigating Wondershare's web help is a lot cleaner and user friendly.

Take the time to look for what you like.

Positive: It is functional, by no means the best. I have nothing else to say.

Negative: What is the worst is the support, they say they have tickets, But they are not really tickets as they are really links to other pages on their site. So to get an answer is next to impossible. the only place to put in a ticket was to Request to return your monies, and then i got a canned response. asking if i had any technical problems.

Good product made by dishonest company

    Date: Dec 10 2023

Summary: Product is good... Then the company steals your perpetual licenses off you when they feel like it and tells you you have to pay more to use their new version. All humans and robots ignore all requests for support or send you in circles, mods never approve your threads to be viewed in their support forum when you ask for help. I wonder how many other 1000's of people are being silenced with this tactic dishonesty.

People should stop accepting this sort of thievery. It justifies piracy. If I hadn't paid and had just pirated copies I would have a better experience. My software would still work and I wouldn't be wasting hours trying to get help from a company who is only interested in taking more money from me when I have already paid.

None of the computers on my domain will ever use this software again. Unacceptable and dishonest business practices is the Nitro way.

Positive: Great product that can do most PDF functions in one task pane. Most users adapt easily and the software is stable.

Negative: Company will renege on their licensing and steal your software off you when they feel they deserve more money for what you already paid for.

    SJ

    Date: Jun 29 2021

Summary: Nitro PDF is a dog. Don't waste your money.
Go Nitro will cancel your product after a couple of years and you won't be able to reinstall it.

Positive: You can combine and convert to/from PDFs.
The OCR is good when it works, which it doesn't always.

Negative: The settings disappear for every new session, the Print function doesn't work, editing PDFs is a nightmare, the menus are chaotic... I could go on.
