Best Firewall for my home network!

    Edited: Mar 12 2024

Summary: Overall? Best DNS I have ever used especially on my home network! Pricing is incorrect tho that they show on the page. NextDNS IS NOT $39/month! I pay $20/yr for my firewall that's it, they don't charge monthly fees only yearly so please update the price. It covers all my devices and works great on my home router! I Highly Recommend!
I see a previous reviewer stated that the free version doesn't cover a lot but I can understand that. The free version does cover unlimited devices not only one. If you can afford $20/yr the Pro version covers.

Positive: Plenty of blocklists to choose from, and lots of features for safe browsing.

Negative: No cons at this time. I have had no problems with NextDNS to report any cons.

Only DNS provider that lets me use uBlock Origin blocklists

    Date: Apr 12 2023

Summary: Best DNS for transparency. You can use open source, well known, and based on Mozilla's principles blocklists. Mozilla is very strict and audits its recommend partners.

You can use for free on any Firefox or secure DNS capable browser if at work, or forced to give privacy invasion in today's education scam. Computer Science has devolved into SalesForce bruhs, so it's hopeless. Thank god I have NextDNS.

Positive: I can block ALL Ads, trackers, Social Media, Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc like I used to with Firefox for iOS or Android on all household devices. I can block LG TV spying. I can use custom lists from GiThub and other obscure privacy lists. Easily disabled when forced to use privacy invasion for work, school, banking apps etc.

Again, this is the only true iOS solution out there. I can use hblock for pete's sake! You can also auto destroy logs and other goodies.

Negative: Free works for once device, but in our household, our LG smart TV sends easily 200,000 DNS queries 30 days, which the limit is 300,000.

Takes cryptocurrency which is the worlds largest ponzi scheme for criminal activity, which is a little concerning.

MoFi Routers do not support NextDNS.
