NetRisk Description
NetRisk allows a risk's probability to occur to be un-correlated among the activities it has been assigned. In fact, it may even be different. This approach is more realistic when a risk response affects activities that are scheduled years apart or at different sites. NetRisk automates risk sensitivity analysis to remove the most significant risk. The result is a tornado diagram that shows the exact impact each risk has on project completion in days. CPM risk analysis doesn't account for the impact of floating use on project completion, so it overestimates the likelihood of completion by scheduling activities for early starts in each iteration. NetRisk allows activities that are not on the critical path to be started later in order to model resource leveling, progress pace, or other strategic reasons. This makes it a more realistic model.
