High Res Images updated regularly Date: Aug 31 2021
Summary: Nearmap is a great tool and its updated regularly. It is my 'go to' application when looking at overhead images and its way more details and up to date than Google.
I love how you can compare images over time (back to around 2009 currently).
The online tools are great - you can make Nearmap look like Google with the different overlays, and you can do all sorts of measurements.
We have Nearmap integrated with Azure Active Directory so it is Single Sign on for staff.Positive: Image quality is fantastic. There are some great tools you can use (such as measurements in distance, area, etc). The photos are updated constantly in the major cities and residential areas so you it really is up to date - much more so than Google.
You pay for data as part of your plan and it doesn't matter how many users you have.Negative: Expensive! That really is the only negative thing I can say about Nearmap.

Lost 2 hours worth of work Date: Sep 11 2023
Summary: What's the point if you can easily lose hours for your work?
I spent more than two hours to lose it all in a fraction of a second. Customer support doesn't give you any option either and it's all about sales and ripping you off. So disappointing.Positive: High quality image and updated regularly. I don't have too many good things to say so I am writing this to fill up the required hundred words.
Negative: Extremely unreliable. I lost two hours of design and work in a fracture of a second. There was no pop up warning, no message, no notice, nothing.

Deceptive Auto-Renewal Policy with No Transparency Date: Aug 31 2023
Summary: I subscribed to Nearmap believing it was a one-time, 12-month commitment. To my surprise, I was automatically renewed without explicit notification or the option to cancel. The company cites these terms in their contract but fails to make it transparent at the point of purchase. Even when trying to address this issue, I was told I was contractually obligated to continue. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. I will be paying under protest and do not recommend Nearmap to anyone who values transparency and customer service. Exercise caution and read the fine print carefully if you do decide to go with this service.
Positive: The initial subscription process was straightforward, and the platform seemed to offer a comprehensive range of specialized mapping services. The user interface is relatively easy to navigate.
Negative: Auto-renewal policy is buried in fine print, leading to unintended financial commitments. Customer service is unresponsive to complaints and concerns about these deceptive practices.

Poor business practices and very expensive software Date: Jun 25 2023
Summary: This company resorts to unethical business practices. They blocked my account when data usage exceeds even slightly from the contract which forced me to sign a more expensive contract with Nearmap at exorbitant prices.
When I informed that I wanted to downsize our contract due to loss of income, they refused and indicated that I have to wait for the contract to end to downsize. What I cannot understand is why would they agree to upsize the contract before the term ended and not downsize.
Their pricing is also a lot higher than all their competition: Eagleview, Google etc.
I would like to cancel my contract and get refunded for the past two months since the time I requested them to cancel my account or downsize it.Positive: Good quality satellite imagery and mediocre user interface. Good customer service only when they want to up charge.
Negative: Very expensive.
