MindGems Duplicate Image Finder Description

Duplicate photo finder "looks at" your photos to identify similarities. You can find duplicates and look-alike images on a computer, network, folder or Adobe Lightroom. Reduce disk space by organizing photos and removing duplicates. Identify duplicate and similar images, even if they have been edited, rotated or flipped. You can specify the percent of image similarity you will use during the scan. You can specify exact matches that differ only in size or format. After scanning is complete, the program displays all duplicate images in groups. It can automatically mark smaller resolution or smaller file size images for deletion - the ones of lower quality.

    Way better than other tools I tried

    Summary: I would recommend it to anyone. If you are not sure try the free demo. It is crippled, but sufficient to evaluate.

    Positive: I tried many similar tools and this one is obviously a PRO one. Has lots of options, works fast and detection is quite good. Of course, it is not perfect, but the false positives are negligible.

    Negative: Have nothing to complain about. Works fast and well.

    Best tool for finding similar photos in different image formats

    Summary: I would always recommend this tool. I am an avid photographer and this tool is one of the first things I install on a new computer. If you have the time you can try other similar tools - I guarantee that you will not find anything better. The user interface may not look as fancy as other apps, but the precision, performance, and features of this tool are unmatched.

    Positive: This is not a common duplicate finder - it performs true image analysis and can find similar photos even if they are stored in different image formats.

    Negative: The learning curve is quite steep. The tool has many features. It is easy to do a basic duplicate scan, but if you want to do something more complex you have to reference the help file.
